Inspired by the luminary sculptures in our windows? Learn how to make your own! Procession of the Species artists are hosting a luminary globe workshop at the Olympia AHA Museum and Visitor Center. Learn more about Olympia's beloved Procession of the Species and Luminary Procession and become part of the action through this creative opportunity.
Participants will set up and decorate their own luminary globe sculptures—and take them home as keepsakes!
This is an opportunity to view artist Fern Tallos at work while they paint a mural in the museum. This mural will be the backdrop for a new exhibit all about Olympia’s history. Learn about mural painting by watching it in progress, and get a sneak preview of our upcoming exhibit.
On the darkest night of the year, we are celebrating the “Light in the Dark” recent exhibit opening with Illuminate Oly’s light artists. The museum will be open late to celebrate light in darkness.
